SELL CRYPTOASSETS
Cryptoassets out.Fiat in your account.
Tell us what you hold and what you want out of it. We come back with the cost, the timeline and the checks — in writing — and nothing happens until you say yes.
WHO THIS IS FOR
When selling on an exchange stops being the simple option.
Most holdings are small enough to sell in an app. The ones that reach us usually have something else going on — size, a bank that wants an explanation, or a company on the other side of it.
You are realising a holding
You have held for a while and want the proceeds in your bank account, with paperwork that stands up later.
The amount is awkward for an exchange
Large enough that withdrawal limits, sudden reviews and frozen accounts are a real risk to the timeline.
Your bank asks questions
You would rather arrive with documentation the bank accepts than explain an incoming payment after it lands.
You want one person on it
Someone who answers the phone, rather than a support queue and a help centre article.
THE PROCESS
Three steps, and you can stop at any of them.
- 1
Tell us what you hold
The asset, the rough amount and the currency you want out. A minute on the form, or say it in the chat.
- 2
We quote it and explain the checks
Cost, process and what we will need from you — in writing, before you commit to anything.
- 3
Checks, then settlement
Identity and, where the size calls for it, source of funds. Once that is cleared the proceeds go to your account.
WHAT WE WILL ASK FOR
The checks, before you start rather than halfway through.
UK anti-money-laundering rules apply to a conversion this size. None of it is unusual, and all of it is easier when you know it is coming.
Who you are
Photo identification and proof of address for you, or for the people behind the company. Standard UK anti-money-laundering practice.
Where the funds came from
For larger amounts we ask how the assets or the fiat were acquired, and for the paperwork that shows it. We tell you what will satisfy it before you start gathering anything.
Where it is going
The bank account or wallet the proceeds settle to, and confirmation that it belongs to you. Third-party payments are a different conversation.
Company structure, if it applies
For a business conversion: incorporation details, the people who own or control it, and authority to instruct us.
WHERE WE STAND
What we do, and what we will not do.
We handle the conversion
You tell us the direction and the amount. We quote it, explain the checks, and carry it out once you have agreed.
We do not advise
We will not tell you whether to buy, sell or hold, or what an asset is likely to do. That decision is yours before you come to us.
We are not an exchange
There is no account to open, no order book and no app. A person handles your conversion from the first message to settlement.
We do not run a portfolio for you
We do not manage holdings, take discretionary decisions or offer a product you invest in. Each conversion is a one-off piece of work.
QUESTIONS
Selling, answered.
What will I get for my holding?+
That depends on the asset, the size and the day, so we quote your specific case rather than publishing a number that would be wrong by the time you read it. You get the figure and the cost in writing, and nothing proceeds until you accept it.
Where do the proceeds go?+
To a bank account in your own name, or your company's. We confirm the account with you before anything moves, and we will explain how third-party payments are treated if that is what you need.
How long does it take?+
It depends on the checks required and on your bank. We tell you what to expect for your case when we come back to you, rather than promise a headline figure we cannot control.
What do I need to provide?+
Identity documents, and for larger amounts evidence of where the assets came from. We tell you exactly what is needed before you start gathering anything — see the page on identity checks.
Do you take custody of my assets?+
We will set out exactly how and when your assets move, in writing, before you commit. Ask and you will get a straight answer rather than a diagram.
Is there a minimum?+
Tell us what you have in mind and we will say honestly whether we are the right people for it. If we are not, we will say so rather than take the enquiry.
Tell us what you are holding.
We come back to you with the cost and the process in writing. No obligation, and nothing proceeds until you say so.
